Current Vacancies - Ambitious Graduate Trainee Quantity Surveyors

C A Blackwell are looking for Graduate Trainee Quantity Surveyors to assist in the measurement, valuation and cost control of contracts covering a wide range of disciplines.

Your responsibilities would include:

  • Measurement of work done and maintenance of site records
  • Understand contract requirements and assist with contractual correspondence
  • Assist with implementation of change control procedures and contractual notices
  • Assist with identification and valuation of extra and varied works
  • Assist with preparation of internal and external interim and final valuations
  • Assist with administration of subcontract accounts
  • Administration of document management system
  • A wide range of technical and managerial responsibilities.

The role will be site based with support from one of our regional offices in Essex, Wakefield, Tewkesbury or Grangemouth.  There are positions available nationwide. 


The successful candidate will be required to have the following key attributes:

  • General understanding of contractual arrangements
  • Ambitious to master all aspects of admeasurement, valuation and cost control
  • Above average numeracy and literacy skills
  • Computer and MS software knowledgeable
  • Sound administrative ability
  • A team player with good communication skills
  • A full UK driving license
